This November marks a significant milestone for our longitudinal study. In partnership with 33 schools and colleges across the country, we are beginning the second phase of our annual Cohort Study.
Together, we are working to gather essential data that will shape the future of adolescent mental health and wellbeing education. Adolescent mental health is a pressing issue. In a 2023 NHS survey, about 1 in 5 children and young people aged 8 to 25 years were identified as having a probable mental disorder. By participating in BrainWaves, schools and colleges are not just contributing to groundbreaking research; they are also equipping themselves with the tools needed to foster a supportive environment for their students.
This collaborative effort is a powerful step toward understanding and addressing the unique challenges that students encounter daily. We believe that every school and every student has the potential to play a crucial role in this movement, and while the current phase of data collection is underway, there are still opportunities for you to get involved!
We are inviting secondary schools, colleges, and sixth-form colleges to become BrainWaves Research Partners. This free partnership is your chance to be a part of a transformative initiative that aims to revolutionise the landscape of adolescent mental health .
By joining us, your school or college will not only contribute to vital research but also gain access to a range of exclusive benefits designed to enhance the wellbeing of your students and staff.
If you’re interested in learning more about how you can join this important initiative, email us at support@brainwaveshub.org to find out what BrainWaves can add to your wellbeing offer.
