Join us for BrainWaves Living Well 2026: Early Bird Tickets now on sale!

We are happy to announce that Early Bird tickets are now live for BrainWaves Living Well 2026, a landmark one-day conference on adolescent mental wellbeing hosted in association with the University of Oxford.

Young people’s declining mental wellbeing is one of the defining challenges of our time, yet there is often a disconnect between robust academic research, the daily realities of the classroom, and the availability of evidence-based support in schools.

At BrainWaves, we are transforming the quality of wellbeing support available for young people today. We believe that to truly support young people, we must bridge the gap between “knowing what works” and “making things better” in practice.

Why BrainWaves Living Well 2026 Matters

This is more than a conference; it is a collaborative space designed to translate cutting-edge evidence into actionable impact. Grounded in our national cohort study and ethical research governance, the event focuses on transforming adolescent wellbeing through a unique combination of science and education.

Our goal is to narrow the gap between theory and action. We are convening a trusted, interdisciplinary community to ensure that high-quality research is not just published, but practised.

Where Research Meets the Classroom

At the heart of BrainWaves Living Well 2026 is the meaningful dialogue between those who study adolescent mental health and those who support it every day.

  • For Teachers & School Leaders: Gain direct access to the researchers shaping the evidence base. The conference will translate complex findings into accessible, practical insights that align with your curriculum, pastoral care, and whole-school strategy.
  • For Academics & Researchers: This is your platform for translational impact. Move your work beyond traditional academic circles and engage directly with educators and policymakers. It is a rare opportunity to ensure your research has real-world relevance in the environments where it is needed most.
A Research-Led Agenda

Taking place on Monday, 6th July 2026 at Prospero House, London, the agenda features the following sessions designed to spark innovation:

  • Population-Led Approaches: Insights from Professor John Gallacher (University of Oxford).
  • Adversity and Self-Harm: Exploring underexplored connections with Professor Sarah Bauermeister (University of Oxford).
  • Classroom Realities: Evidence-based sessions on social media and devices and the psychological aspects of persistent absence.
  • Interactive Roundtables: Practical discussions centred around 1) the increase of neurodiversity diagnoses in schools and 2) the efficiency of healthcare scales for measuring adolescent wellbeing in research.
